Church Security Education
Idea
Provide educational content and planning resources for small church security groups — not just training tools. Help teams understand the importance of contacting local police, creating emergency action plans, and setting realistic expectations for what a volunteer security team can and should do.
Motivation
- Many church security teams are informal and lack professional guidance
- Encouraging police contact and planning is a responsibility gap RDP can help fill
- Builds trust with the target audience — RDP isn’t just a scoring app, it’s a resource
- Differentiates from generic training tools by addressing the full picture of church security readiness
- Could serve as a content funnel for the marketing site and onboarding experience
Open Questions
- Is this in-app content, marketing site content, or both?
- Curated articles/checklists vs. linking to external resources?
- Should onboarding for church security orgs include a “readiness checklist” that covers planning basics?
- How opinionated should RDP be about security practices? (liability considerations)
- Could this tie into the content feed system?
